Planning

Warren Buffet is known for advising people to make a list of their top 25 goals, then circle the top 5, and avoid the remaining 20 at all costs, highlighting the significance of prioritizing what truly matters.

Sage advice.

To do:

Start planning your days.

  • What are the top 3 most important things I need to get done today
  • What is the 1 most important thing to get done today

Start planning your weeks.

  • What are the top 3 most important things I need to get done this week
  • What is the 1 most important thing to get done this week

Planning and execution are how we make life happen.

Otherwise, life might be happening to you.

Tip: “Timeboxing” is a helpful technique for prioritizing. In short, determine how much time should be allocated to a task, and get it off your to-do list and put it in your calendar instead.
