Unimpeachable Character

During a lunch last week with the owner of a roofing company I was reminded of an unfortunate fact:

People can be unscrupulous.

Twice in the last few years he had been propositioned by property managers looking to make an additional kickback if the manager awards the vendor the work.

With interest rates and inflation hurting everyone in 2024, I can only see this being a bad year for this kind of business.

It instantly reminded me of two things:

  1. The below post for StripMall Guy a few months back articulating the same thing. Coincidence?
  2. Entrepreneur Alex Hermozi’s company value: Unimpeachable Character.

If there was ever a value to steal this is definitely up there. Everyone likes the idea of integrity, but what does it mean to have unimpeachable character?

Can you think of any examples from history?
