Responsibilities
We are looking for a Property Accountant to join our expanding Finance team who will be responsible for managing and reporting on financial operations and lease details of multiple commercial properties located in Metro Vancouver. Strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to think beyond what’s presented in front of you will help you thrive in this position. Responsibilities include:

  • Set up lease agreements in YARDI
  • Produce rental statements and monthly rent rolls
  • Record receipts and assist in accounts receivable collection efforts
  • Assist with month-end closing (A/P approval, journal entries, accruals)
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties, including income statement, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Review and analyze property operating expenses, maintaining accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist property managers with annual budget preparation
  • Address and advise property managers on financial aspects and inquiries for assigned properties
  • Prepare annual recovery reconciliations
  • Assisting with audit support as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma in accounting or related field.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Work effectively in a high-paced team environment.
  • Yardi Voyager experience an asset.
  • Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
